The Department of Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) produced a Code of Practice for Wind Energy Development in Ireland. This Code of Practice is intended to ensure that all wind energy development in the country is undertaken in compliance with best industry practice, and that there is a strong communication link established with the local community at the initial stages of a wind energy project.
