This Project and Sustainability
EIA Process
Environmental Assessments are a mandatory part of the development process of renewable energy projects. They involve in-depth analysis conducted by independent experts to evaluate how our projects might impact the environment and local communities. It also informs our project team on how we can better design these projects to minimize the negative impacts and maximize the positive environmental benefits. They guide the design, construction, and management of renewable projects and their surrounding habitats right from the outset, to ensure that environmental protection is at the core.
Each of the elements below are carefully studied to ensure that our projects minimize harm and maximize positive impact:
- Population and Human Health
- Biodiversity – bat, bird etc.
- Land
- Soil
- Water
- Air
- Climate
- Material assets
- Cultural heritage
- Landscape
We want to hear biodiversity suggestions for your local area
Sustainability Management Plan (SMP)
The SMP for this project will consolidate key actions on climate, circularity, biodiversity, and community engagement, ensuring compliance and measurable impact. Your sustainability and biodiversity suggestions will be managed through our SMP and followed up on by our sustainability and community engagement teams.
Long-term vision
Renewable energy project development is often quite a long process. There is the scoping phase, the development phase, the construction phase, the operational phase and finally the decommissioning phase. The entire process can take up to 45/50 years from start to finish. Therefore, it is essential that, throughout the years, there is a seamless process which avoids information and relationships with the community being lost. Therefore, we take pride in having a reporting process which means that your time and ours is not wasted and that together we can develop the best possible project and future for your community. We are in it for the long-haul!
Virtual Consulation Room
Our VCR will be available in the next couple of months. It will display photomontages, interactive maps, feedback forms and videos. We will inform the community once it is operating.
