Traffic Management Update - Turbine Component & Blade Delivery

From the 8th of July 2024 abnormal load deliveries will commence for turbine components & blade deliveries. These deliveries will take place between the hours of 12pm to 7am.

The route the components will be travelling on is as follows:

  • Exit M6 at Junction 6
  • N52 around Tullamore
  • The L2025/R402 in Ballingar Village
  • The R402 in Daingean Village
  • The R402 / R401 T-Junction west of Edenderry
  • The entrance to the wind farm project on the R401. The entrance is just north of Edenderry Power Plant

 

The run will be escorted by An Garda Siochána who may stop traffic along the route during the deliveries for a short period of time between the hours of 12pm and 7am

The operation will be carried out Monday to Friday in the early hours of the morning for approximately 9 weeks.
